Marmet Recreation Center: will host a Christmas party/dance featuring Don Gibson and The Velvetones from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $8 per person. Turkey and ham will be provided. Bring a side dish. The concession stand will be open.
Alcoholics Anonymous: holds meetings and offers support for those who wish to stop drinking. For information, call 1-800-333-5051.
The Loved Ones' Group: offers education, help and hope for those concerned about someone's alcohol or drug use at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 E St., South Charleston. The meetings are free, and enrollment is not required to participate. Free parking is available. For more information, call Rob Grishaber at 304-546-8839.
