Fisher Memorial Church: will have its New Year's Eve Service from 8 p.m. to midnight Dec. 31, The Rev. Delbert Hawley will speak around 9:30 p.m. The Choraliers, Jordan River Boys, Freeman Newhouse, Lathey Family, The New Life Singers, Saving Grace, Fisher Memorial Church Quartet and Choir will sing. A fellowship and refreshments hour will be held from 10 to 11 p.m. Participants will return to the Sanctuary for the remainder of the service at 11 p.m. Midnight fellowship and family prayer at the altar, along with the tolling of the church bells will be held. The church is located 1/2 mile on Dudden Road off Goldtown Exit of Interstate 77, 18 miles north of Charleston.

The Believers: will be singing at 7:30 p.m. at a service on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, at Lone Oak Church of God Mission, located on W.Va. 34, Red House Hill.

Miscellaneous

Living Waters Family Worship Center,: 514 Fifth Ave., Montgomery, will host "Friday Night Live" at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 with special guest speaker Pastor Jacquelyn Queen from Remnant Christian Center, Riverdale, Md. For information, call 304-545-2835.

The Kanawha Creation Science Group: will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 3 at the South Charleston Public Library to watch the DVD "The Age of the Earth, Part 1 of 2" by Dr. Kent Hovind. To get to the library at 312 Fourth Ave. in South Charleston, take the Montrose Drive exit off of Interstate 64 and turn right. Turn left at MacCorkle Avenue and then left again at the next traffic signal (Ashby Avenue). Bear right on Ashby Avenue and then left on D Street. Proceed to Fourth Avenue and the library will be on the left as you go through that intersection. The library has assigned Room A, however, check the arrow sign in the lobby as you enter. Squire Parsons: will appear in concert at 7 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Standard, Paint Creek Road. Call 304-595-5548 for information.

Special services:

Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church,: 5470 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, will have Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by a morning worship service with Pastor Jason C. Black at 11 a.m. Sunday. The evening worship service will be held at 6 p.m. with the church singers or choir singing. Pastor Jason C. Black will preach. The prayer meeting and youth group meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Upper Kanawha Valley Minister and Deacons Fellowship: will hold its Fourth Sunday Fellowship service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Carbondale. Speaker will be Minister Charles Mullins. Minister Mullins is an associate of Mount Zion.
