CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police have arrested a man accused in a fatal Charleston shooting earlier this year.

Richard Bernard Hilliard, 24, of Charleston, was booked into the South Central Regional Jail Tuesday, according to the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority. He is charged with first-degree murder.

Charleston police say Hilliard shot David Juaboi Booker, 26, in the 1200 block of Milton Street Oct. 11, according to previous Gazette reports. Police issued a warrant for Hilliard's arrest last month.

Calls to the Charleston Police Department were not answered Tuesday afternoon.
