Woman restarts group for parents of slain children
Advertiser

FRENCH CREEK, W.Va. -- A French Creek woman and her grandson are restarting the Parents of Murdered Children's chapter in north-central West Virginia.

Betty Sargent says her daughter, Sandy, was murdered in 1991. She wants to help other parents whose children have been slain.

Her daughter's son, Robert Sargent, is a co-leader of the group. He says there's never closure but the group can provide support.

The group will hold its first meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 at Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Buckhannon.
