Boil-water advisory issued for areas of west Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory for approximately 1,000 customers in the Hillsdale and Sissonville Drive areas of Charleston following a water main break, which drained two water storage tanks early Monday.

The affected area includes all customers along Hillsdale Drive, Cora Street, Hudson Street, Claire Street, Woodbine Avenue, Jane Street, Westmoreland Road, Piccadilly Street, Evergreen Street, Mary Street, Garrison Avenue, Hope Road, Rockaway Road, Pacific Street, Atlantic Street, Amaron Drive, Crestlyn Drive and Beulah Street.

The affected area along Sissonville Drive includes Sugar Creek Drive, Falcon Drive and Lilly Drive.
