Morgan Co. works to get geothermal system running

BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. -- Morgan County officials are trying to get the courthouse's geothermal heating and cooling system up and running.

The courthouse was completed in 2010. It's the first government building in West Virginia to have a geothermal system.

County facilities director Vince Cichocki tells The Journal that the building is using boilers and cooling towers because the geothermal system hasn't worked.

County officials hope to get the system operational early this yea
