Sydney Washington, 10, passes out Girl Scout cookies to other Scouts and guests at a kickoff event Thursday at the Charleston Marriot for the organization's annual cookie sale. The event was held by the Black Diamond Council of the Girl Scouts, which serves 61 counties in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.
