PINCH, W.Va. -- An Ohio man was arrested Friday afternoon for taking his car from a Pinch tow shop without paying for services.

Originally, dispatchers reported the man stole a car at gunpoint from Chambers Auto Repair and Towing, but South Charleston State Police said Friday night that was not the case.

The man retrieved his car from the shop after it was towed without paying fees, according to state police. The car later broke down, where the man was then arrested for theft of services.

He was later released on personal recognizance, meaning he promised to return to court in lieu of paying bail.
