HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- An insurance company has donated $2.5 million to Marshall University to establish a research endowment.
The university said Thursday that the gift form the BrickStreet Insurance Foundation Inc. is expected to be matched through the state's "Bucks for Brains" West Virginia Research Trust Fund, bringing the endowment to $5 million.
The money will support research at the university's Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
