CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Relay For Life of Sissonville will hold a kick-off celebration this week.
All Sissonville residents, past and present relay team captains, committees and teams are invited to attend the event on Tuesday, Jan 8 at 6 p.m. at the Sissonville High School Library.
The Relay For Life movement, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is an opportunity for people to walk to end cancer and honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost while also raising awareness about what people can do to stay well from cancer.
Light refreshments will be provided and discussion about upcoming 2013 events will be a part of the celebration.
