Bret Chandler, a Charleston-based entrepreneur and investor, wants to build a network of liquid propane fueling stations in the state and convert cars and trucks to run on the alternate fuel.

Chandler also is marketing a German-built kit to inject propane into diesel engines to lower fuel consumption.
