ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- A St. Albans teenager was arrested Monday evening after police said he and another teen tried to rob a home with a baby inside, then shot into the home as they fled.

Nick Trent Hanson, 18, was charged with burglary, robbery and wanton endangerment in connection with the incident on Maryland Avenue in St. Albans.

The police identified the other suspect as Cody Hudson, age 18 or 19, of St. Albans. He remained at large this morning.

The home's residents said they were awakened by noises in the home, and saw two men using handguns to force another of the home's occupants into a bedroom where a 1-year-old infant was sleeping, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

The men, who were allegedly trying to steal items to sell for drugs, fled when the homeowner called 911. After they were outside, the men allegedly fired several bullets into the home.
