Several boil-water advisories issued throughout state

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Department of Health and Human Resources has issued several boil-water advisories throughout the state. The advisories were issued either for a failure to properly monitor the drinking water, the lack of a properly certified operator, inadequate disinfection of the drinking water or inadequate operator coverage.

Customers in the areas listed below should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice. The affected areas include:

Fayette County: Kanawha Falls Community Water Association.

Greenbrier County: Black Bear Lodge and Browns Water System.

McDowell County: 3 Way Super Stop Water System; Keystone Municipal Water; Jenkinjones Community Water System; and the O'Toole Water System.

Mercer County: Pinacle Water Association, Windmill Gap Water System; Hiawatha Water Association; and Weyanoke Giatto Water System. 

Raleigh County: Marfork Coal Company Office and Marfork Coal Slip Ridge Mine.

Summers County: Rivers Rest Home Owners Association and The Village at Rock Ridge.

Wyoming County: Green Camp Public Service District; Herndon Community Water; Pierpoint Public Service District Water System; and Coal Mountain Public Service Water District.
