James Phares is set to meet with staff, read aloud with students and take a tour this morning at Mylan Park Elementary.
County Superintendent Frank Devono and other administrators from the central office will join him.
Phares was sworn in last week to replace Jorea Marple. The state school board fired her abruptly in November.
A national search for a permanent replacement is under way, but Marple argues the board should either reinstate her or present "competent, admissible evidence'' of something she did that warranted termination.
