Police in Elkins have charged 24-year-old Jeffrey Scott Wilson with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine lab, a felony. He remained jailed on a $50,000 bond Thursday.
The Inter-Mountain reports that Wilson was charged Wednesday following a traffic stop during which police found meth-making materials stored in various locations in the Jeep he was driving.
According to the criminal complaint, the materials included a bottle of drain cleaner, a box of allergy and congestion medication, two propane fuel tanks, plastic tubing, empty Gatorade bottles, a red funnel, coffee filters and salt.
The Randolph County Magistrate Clerk's Office said Wilson requested a court-appointed attorney.
