The Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission's Finance/Golf Committee has canceled its meeting scheduled for Jan. 14.
Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the South Charleston Library. The program will be a video of "Gardening for Birds" by Dr. Doug Tallamy, professor of entomology at University of Delaware and author of "Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens." Those interested in birds as well as gardening are welcome to attend. The board will meet at 6 p.m.
