Wayne Asbury, of Bancroft, bought new numbers to hang on his house after recently getting a letter from the Putnam County Office of Emergency Services advising him of his new address.

Even though Bancroft resident Wayne Asbury was recently informed his address is changing from 502 Washington Street to 397 Washington Street, he plans to keep the decorative rock displaying his old house number along his driveway.

Wayne Asbury's new address won't change the way he gets his mail because everyone in Bancroft is provided a post office box -- there's no home delivery. The changes are being made to make it easier for emergency responders to find residences on 911 calls.
