Delegates and senators representing the Sissonville area have arranged a town-hall meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 23 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church (www.aldersgate.wv.org). The meting will focus on an update of the gas pipeline, Second Amendment rights and other state and local issues of interest to attendees. The event is free.
The Metropolitan Opera's encore performance of "The Trojans (Les Troyens)" by Berlioz will be shown in high definition from 6:30 p.m. to approximately midnight Jan. 23 at Cinemark Theater, Huntington Mall, Barboursville. The meeting is a free hour-long addiction education presentation for those wanting to learn research-based information on drug and alcohol use, identification and effective ways to help a person with an addiction.
