Chi Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 at the home of Agatha Worley. Sue Shanklin will present the program.

Delegates and senators representing the Sissonville area have arranged a town-hall meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 23 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church (www.aldersgate.wv.org). The meting will focus on an update of the gas pipeline, Second Amendment rights and other state and local issues of interest to attendees. The event is free.

The Metropolitan Opera's encore performance of "The Trojans (Les Troyens)" by Berlioz will be shown in high definition from 6:30 p.m. to approximately midnight Jan. 23 at Cinemark Theater, Huntington Mall, Barboursville. Tickets are $22 for adults; $20 for seniors; and $15 for children. For complimentary passes, call 304-344-9091.

Loved Ones will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 24 on the second floor of the Haddad Building, 4825 MacCorkle Ave. SE, South Charleston. The meeting is a free hour-long addiction education presentation for those wanting to learn research-based information on drug and alcohol use, identification and effective ways to help a person with an addiction.
