SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- No injuries were reported when a fire engine and a car collided this afternoon near Southridge Centre.

A Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatcher said a South Charleston city fire truck and a car driven by a retired West Virginia State Police trooper collided at the intersection of Preferred Place and Corridor G at 3 p.m. It was unclear if the fire truck hit the car or the car hit the fire truck.

No one was injured, but emergency crews remained on the scene at 4 p.m.
