WAYNESBORO, Va. -- A Virginia man accused of killing his wife more than a decade ago is set to appear in a West Virginia court.

WVIR-TV reports that 52-year-old Thomas Neal Tait of Waynesboro is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Greenbrier County Circuit Court in Lewisburg, W.Va.

Tait is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Karen Santillan Tait.

Her body was found in the Greenbrier State Forest in West Virginia in 2002. But she wasn't listed as missing until 2011 and her body wasn't identified until last fall.

Tait was awaiting sentencing in Waynesboro on unrelated child pornography charges when West Virginia authorities charged him with first-degree murder. He was being held this morning at the Southern Regional Jail in Beaver, W.Va.
