Kingwood animal shelter lacks power, heat; needs help
Advertiser

KINGWOOD, W.Va. -- With frigid temperatures and a lot of snow, it's a bad time to be without heat or water. But that's the situation facing the Preston County Animal Shelter in Kingwood.

Shelter manager Courtney Austin is now pleading for the public's help in temporarily fostering animals.

She tells WBOY-TV that a broken furnace left the shelter without heat, then the pipes froze and it lost water.

Austin is asking anyone who can foster animals or help transport them to other shelters in the area to call her at 304-329-3461.

She's also seeking donations for a new furnace.
