CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water and the town of Ronceverte has issued boil-water advisories.
A boil-water advisory that West Virginia American Water issued earlier this morning for approximately 200 residential customers in the Campbells Creek Road and Blount areas of Kanawha County has been expanded to include approximately 1,000 customers in all. The advisory is now in effect for any customers in the Campbells Creek and Blount areas who have experienced low water pressure or a disruption in water service this morning. The advisory was issued following a water main breaks.
The affected area includes Campbells Creek Road from 5 Mile Road/Coal Mine to the end, Eight Mile Hollow, Rattlesnake Hollow, Spruce Road, Campbell's Creek Drive from Younger Drive to the end, Younger Drive, Norman Drive, Rensford Star Route, Staton Drive, Coal Fork Drive, the first three-quarter miles of Clover Hollow, Point Lick Road, Hatfield Drive, Tower Drive, Cline Hollow Road, the Campbells Creek side of Big Bottom Road and Patterson Drive.
A boil-water advisory has also been issued for all of Ronceverte's water customers.
Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
