Boil-water advisories

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil-water advisory for about 1,000 customers in the Campbells Creek Road and Blount areas of Kanawha County. The advisory was issued Monday.

West Virginia American also has lifted a boil-water advisory for customers near the Sport Mart Shopping Plaza off of MacCorkle Avenue. The affected customers included Sport Mart and the South Charleston Sanitary Board Treatment Plant.

The McDowell Public Service District has lifted a boil-water advisory issued Jan. 9 for the Big Four area in McDowell County.

Beckley Water Co. has issued a boil-water advisory for Sweeneysburg Road, starting at the water plant along Sweeneysburg Road and extending to Pax Road and Clear Fork Road along Spruce Mountain. Also included is the lower section of Maple Fork Road up to Burn Bowyer Road. All side streets also are included. This notice is being issued following a water main break.

Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute before use, until further notice.
