Man charged in state police lot fire on trial
LEWISBURG, W.Va. -- A Greenbrier County man is on trial on charges of setting fires that damaged several vehicles at a West Virginia State Police barracks.
Forty-eight-year-old David Clayton White of Meadow Bridge is one of five people charged following the fires in 2011 at the Rainelle detachment. He is charged with second-degree arson, conspiracy and several other crimes.
Media outlets report that the trial began Wednesday in Greenbrier County Circuit Court.
The fires destroyed a State Police cruiser, a trooper's personal vehicle and several vehicles that had been seized.
