FUTURE EVENTS

Kanawha Trail Club will sponsor a hike Sunday on the Mary Ingles Trail Loop. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Regroup at the McGhee Road entrance. The hike is 3 to 4 miles on a moderate terrain with some uneven footing and a few hills.

Torchbearer Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the home of Dreamma Quinn. Suzanne Patterson, president, will conduct the business meeting. Patterson will present the program with the aid of Linda Wible.

Tri-State Amateur Radio Association (TARA) will sponsor examinations for new or upgraded Amateur Radio "Ham" License from the Federal Communications Commission at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 at the Museum of Radio and Technology, 1640 Florence Ave., Huntington, off Harvey Road. All examination elements will be offered for all Amateur Radio License classes. A fee of $15 is charged per test. Pre-registration is not necessary, however, all applicants must complete FCC Form NCVEC 605 available at the exam session and must bring required documents with them.
