Unity of Kanawha Valley: is hosting a soup and ceramic bowl sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Homemade soup, bread, and baked goods will be sold along with the opportunity to purchase ceramic bowls from some of West Virginia's finest potters. Purchases can include soup only, bowl only, and the soup and bowl. The soup in this "souper" bowl fundraiser is also available for carry-out and can be saved for "game day." Crossroads Fellowship Church of St. Albans,: Elder William N. Brooks pastor, will celebrate their Seventh Annual (Agape) Love Banquet at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Dunbar Women's Club. The guest speaker will be Thelma Hughes of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church. Music will be provided by HIS RIB (area minister's wives). Living Water Worship Centre,: 513 Patrick Street, West Side, will have a one day women's seminar hosted by lady Vanessa White from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 9 at the church. The theme is "Inside Out." First United Methodist Church: will have its Dinner Theater 2013 on Feb. 14, 15 and 16 at the church, located at 1124 Fifth Ave., Huntington. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. Choice of entrees is Prime Rib au Jus or Glazed Cornish Hen with tossed salad, baked potato, green peas and pearl onions, dilly rolls and assorted Valentine desserts. Dinner plus show for adults is $24; children under 12, $8. Show only (as space permits) is $5. Proceeds benefit the missions of the church. First Church Dinner Theater will be reminiscing with bits and pieces from years gone by along with new faces for a night of love, music and fun. Reservations are required for all shows.
