CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A familiar face is back in the West Virginia Legislature.

Ron Fragale, 62, will represent the 48th District in the House of Delegates. Fragale previously served 10 terms in the House. The 48th District includes Grant and Mineral counties.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin appointed Fragale on Friday. Fragale, a Democrat who lost his seat in the November election, will replace Sam Cann, who was appointed to fill the vacant 12th District Senate seat.

"Ron's 20-year history of public service will once again be a valuable asset to the people of the 48th District," Tomblin said in a news release. "I look forward to working with him to put West Virginia first when the Legislature convenes later this month."
