CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- If you think it's fun to go to the YMCA, you can now do it a half-hour earlier.
Charleston YMCA President John Giroir said patrons of the Kanawha Valley facility off Hillcrest Drive said they wanted to be able to go to the Y earlier during the week. Beginning Monday, patrons will be able to visit the facility from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the pool opening at 5:30 a.m.
YMCA staff said the new hours are half an hour earlier than before.
Weekend hours during the winter will remain the same, with the YMCA open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
