SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia's top leaders are offering their views on education, the budget and other hot topics ahead of the upcoming legislative session.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin is the keynote speaker at today's Legislative Lookahead forum organized by The Associated Press.

Senate President Jeff Kessler, House Speaker Rick Thompson and the Legislature's Republican leaders are also on the agenda.

The daylong forum for reporters and editors will include discussions of the recent studies of public schools and West Virginia's crowding crisis.

State revenue and budget officials will outline the tight fiscal picture along with the chairs of the legislative finance committees.

AP organizes the annual session for its print and broadcast members. Marshall University has hosted the annual event at its South Charleston graduate campus.
