This photo presents a mystery because it is labeled "Tiskelwah School Annex."
Actually I believe the postcard was mislabeled because it was built in 1914 and has been for years the main office of the Kanawha County School Board in the East End of Charleston at the corner of Elizabeth and Quarrier streets.

At one time it was known as the Annex of Old Kanawha School where I went to Miss Cook's class for the first grade.
