CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Better Business Bureau is warning local residents about a heater that claims to cut heating bills in half.

Indianapolis-based Top Ten Imports claims that the iHeater Mini will save consumers up to 50 percent on heating bills and will heat an area of 500 square feet for pennies a day.

"The BBB has challenged the company on the truthfulness of these claims and has asked for substantiation. The company has responded to some complaints filed with the BBB in Indianapolis, but has not addressed the BBB's inquiries for substantiation," the bureau said in a news release.

The company has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau in Indianapolis, according to the release.
