The commission recently approved a resolution that supports the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
The resolution says the right to bear arms is inalienable. It also cites the economic benefit that Randolph County residents receive from hunting and recreational shooting in the county.
The Inter-Mountain reports that the resolution will be sent to elected officials in Washington, D.C.

Congress has been focusing on guns since the December massacre of 20 first-graders and six adults at a school in Connecticut.
President Barack Obama has proposed a ban on certain weapons and on high-capacity ammunition magazines. He has also called for broader, universal background checks on gun purchasers.
