ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- A man wanted in South Carolina was found in St. Albans on Tuesday and is awaiting extradition.

Capt. James Agee of the St. Albans Police Department said police got a tip that Jeremy McVey, 19, of Lexington, S.C., was staying in St. Albans. A computer check revealed McVey was wanted in South Carolina for allegedly failing to appear on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, Agee said.

Agee said McVey was arrested at a residence on Roosevelt Avenue in St. Albans without incident. He said the police department's new Special Enforcement Unit and St. Albans patrol officers made the arrest.
