Mike Bledsoe, a shift supervisor at the Children's Home Society's Davis Child Shelter, and Tracy Davis, a foster care worker, load about 1,200 children's books into a vehicle in the loading dock at Charleston Newspapers on Tuesday. Children's Home Society, along with Read Aloud West Virginia, will help distribute books donated by Gazette readers to children throughout West Virginia. The Gazette's Happy Valentine's Children's Book Drive continues through Thursday. New and used children's books for all ages in good, clean condition may be dropped off at the Gazette, 1001 Virginia St. E., Charleston; at any Kanawha County Public Library branch; at the Putnam County Library's main branch in Hurricane; or at any Children's Home Society site.
