Water disruption scheduled for Salt Rock on Friday

SALT ROCK, W.Va. -- Approximately 300 customers in the Salt Rock area of Cabell County should expect a disruption in their water service Friday.

The outage will begin around 9 a.m. and is expected to last approximately eight hours. The affected area includes Long Branch Road, Green Valley Road in the area of Bowen Ridge Road, Bowen Ridge Road, Camp Branch Road, Prices Creek Road, Pleasant View Drive and Idle Acres.

The outage is necessary for West Virginia American Water to relocate a section of water main that is along a hill slippage.

A boil-water advisory will go into effect immediately after water service is restored. Affected customers should boil their water for at least one full minute before use, until further notice.
