Coin club meeting

Charleston Coin Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kanawha City Community Center, 3511 Venable Ave. A coin auction will be held. For information, call 304-727-4062.

Addictions workshop

Kanawha Pastoral Counseling will offer a workshop titled "Dealing with Addictions Skills," Motivational Interviewing Certificate Training from 9 a.m. to noon on the third Thursday of each month at Unity of Kanawha Valley. The session will be led by Jack Stringfellow, LPC. For more information, call 304-346-9689.

Growing mushrooms

West Virginia State University Extension Service will sponsor a workshop series on mushroom production in February and March at the Barnett Center, 1524 10th Ave., Huntington. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on the following topics and dates: Thursday, "Oyster Mushroom Production"; March 7, "Shiitake Mushroom Production"; and March 21, "Chicken of the Woods Mushroom Production." The oyster mushroom class costs $30; the others cost $20 each. Fees include all materials needed to produce mushrooms at home. Participants can pre-register for all three workshops for a total cost of $60. Each class will be limited to 10 students. To register, contact Brad Cochran at 304-541-3301 or bcochr...@wvstateu.edu.
