CONFIDENCE, W.Va. -- A man died after losing control and crashing his truck over a hill in Putnam County on Friday morning.
Putnam County 911 dispatchers said the accident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. along Grandview Ridge Road in Confidence.
Putnam deputies identified the man as Jeffrey Bowers, 48, of Leon. Bowers apparently crashed after driving too fast around a curve and losing control. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. Paramedics pronounced Bowers dead at the scene.
