High Heel Hike for Heroes! will begin with registration at noon on June 8 at the South Charleston Mound. Ladies are encouraged to slip into their favorite stilettos, grab all of their girlfriends, and join the 1K parade in support of our American heroes. Proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Prizes will be awarded to individual or team raising the most money, highest heel, youngest in heels and most patriotic heel. To participate, go to http://ladiesofliber-tease.com/ and find the "Heels for Heroes" page.

Ladies of Liber-Tease is a Pin Up for Patriots-type of calendar business. It is run by Army wife Christina Cruikshank and assisted by Sara Johnson, the leading photographer. The calendars are sold to raise funds for hospitalized veterans. Calendars are also given to injured veterans and sent to deployed troops.

The group also participates in personal bedside visits to deliver gifts and show appreciation, promotes volunteerism at Veterans Hospitals, conducts morale-boosting events for military spouses, and boosts morale for deployed troops through delivery of care packages.
