Workers from Rodney Loftis & Son tear down the Long John Silver's restaurant on Kanawha Boulevard East Monday, to help make room for a planned Marriott Courtyard hotel. The restaurant, which closed in December, sat on a three-acre parcel between Virginia Street and Kanawha Boulevard near Clendenin Street. Groundbreaking for the $14 million hotel is scheduled for the end of March.
