CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A woman stabbed her live-in boyfriend in the wrist following a domestic dispute early Tuesday, police said.

At about 1:35 a.m., police were called to 930 Leslie Road for what was reported as a dispute between a man and a woman. Officers discovered that Carrie Nicole Pauley, 26, had been arguing with her boyfriend, Justin A. Petry.

Pauley had grabbed a large kitchen knife and cut near Petry's right wrist, causing a deep wound likely requiring stitches, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Pauley was arrested following the incident and charged with felony malicious wounding. She is being held in South Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bail.
