CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Library Commission will present their annual creative writing skills workshop on Saturday.
The "Writers' Toolkit" workshop will offer two sessions of two-hour workshops between 10 a.m. and noon and between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Culture Center at the state Capitol Complex in Charleston.

* Cat Pleska, "Mapping Memoir: Family Life Placed in Time, History and Geography."
* Anna Smucker, "Writing History -- Your Own!"
* Pete Kosky, "Songwriting in the Folk Tradition."
Afternoon workshops will include:
* Mary Glass, "Using Original Documents in Writing Family Histories."

Robin Taylor will offer her workshop -- "What in the World is Geocaching?" -- in both the morning and afternoon sessions.
Participants should bring their own pens, pencils and writing tablets. They are also welcome to bring a bag lunch or to visit one of several restaurants near the Culture Center.
After lunch, there will be a panel discussion with all the presenters, moderated by John Paul Myrick, the West Virginia Library Commission's library development director.
