PARKERSBURG, W.Va. -- Volunteers are being sought for work at Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park.

The Friends of Blennerhassett will hold an information session at the Blennerhassett Museum on March 9 in downtown Parkersburg.

The island is open May through October, while the mainland museum is open all year.

Volunteers are being sought to lead guided tours through the Blennerhassett mansion and work in two gift shops. Other available stints include guest hosts, island greeters and a golf cart driver. Individuals also are needed to assist with special events.
