Explosives are detonated on the St. Albans side of the Dick Henderson Memorial Bridge, which was erected in 1934 to connect Nitro and St. Albans, Friday morning. The bridge is being replaced with a new deck on the existing bridge piers.

Spectators were asked to gather at St. Albans Roadside Park to witness the demolition of the bridge, which was built in 1934.
