Libraries closed Sundays

Effective immediately and until further notice, the Kanawha County Public Library will cease providing service on Sundays at the Main Library in Charleston and at the St. Albans Branch Library.

Ski club meeting

Kanawha Ski Club will hold its March meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Charleston Woman's Club, 1600 Virginia St. E. The meeting will highlight warm-weather activities. Bob Beanblossom will speak on what's happening at state parks. Supper will be served after a short business meeting; beverages will be provided. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Guests are welcome.

Embroidery class

The Majestic Mountains Needle Arts, a local chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America, is offering a free class from 6 to 8 p.m. March 11, 18 and 25 at JoAnn Fabrics, Fletcher Square, Dunbar. Library board meeting

The Kanawha County Public Library board of directors will meet at 4 p.m. March 11 in the John V. Ray Room, third floor, Main Library, 123 Capitol St. For more information, call 304-343-4646.
