Nutrition and wellness class

City of Charleston Parks and Recreation: will offer "Nutrition & Wellness" classes from 11 a.m. to noon on Fridays, now through April 5 for adults, ages 18 and over at the North Charleston Community Center. There is no charge. The classes are also sponsored by West Virginia University Kanawha County Extension. Putnam County Democrat Club

Kanawha County Democrat Executive Committee: will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the courtroom of Judge Charlie King, fourth floor, Judicial Annex building. 

Arch Coal Foundation

The Arch Coal Foundation is seeking past recipients of the Arch Coal and Ashland Teacher Achievement Awards in West Virginia so that they may be a part of the program's Silver Anniversary celebration later this month. This year's Teacher Achievement Awards celebration, honoring 12 of West Virginia's most accomplished teachers, will be held March 28 in Charleston. John W. Eaves, Arch Coal's president and chief executive officer, will be joined by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and West Virginia Education Association President Dale Lee to make the presentations.
