The U.S. Attorney's Office says Danny Lee Cook, 48, knew the copper was stolen when he obtained it. He took the copper to Canonsburg, Pa., and sold it to a scrap metal dealer.

The copper had been taken from a Mon Power substation in New Cumberland.
Cook pleaded guilty last week in federal court in Wheeling to selling stolen goods transported interstate.
He also faces a $250,000 fine when sentenced.
