Graduation fundraiser
The 2013 Riverside High School Project Graduation Committee, in partnership with Turnpike Ford, is hosting a fundraiser, Drive 4 UR School, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Riverside High School, 1 Warrior Way, Belle. Turnpike Ford will donate $20 to Riverside High School Project Graduation for each test drive (up to $6,000). The event will be held rain or shine. Trail club hike
Kanawha Trail Club will offer at hike Sunday in Mill Creek. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. The hike is approximately 3 miles on an easy out and back, flat dirt road.
KISRA health fair
The Kanawha Institute for Social Research and Action Community Clinic will sponsor a health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at 131 Perkins Ave., Dunbar, off W.Va. 25 near Shawnee Park. Exhibitors will be featured and lab services offered at a reduced price. There is no cost to visit or exhibit. Opera screening
The Met Opera will present an encore performance of "Parsifal," by Wagner, in high definition, from 6:30 to approximately midnight Wednesday at the Cinemark in Huntington Mall, Barboursville. The story is about the Brotherhood of the Holy Grail. Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for children. Hurricane Civic Chorus
The Hurricane Civic Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Larry Stickler, from Marshall University, and accompanist Tom Minshall will perform Civil War period music at 6:30 p.m. March 22 in the Putnam Commons at the Wave Pool Park for the Civil War Weekend.
