WVU Extension to host gas drilling session
Advertiser

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The West Virginia University Extension Service is hosting a free educational program on private water supplies and the state's gas drilling regulations.

The two-hour event is set for this evening at the Wetzel County 4-H Camp grounds. Participants should pre-register because space is limited.

Representatives from Penn State Extension Service will also be on hand to discuss topics including hydraulic fracturing, voluntary testing, leasing stipulations and more.

Extension officials say drilling issues are a hot topic from small towns to the state Capitol, and people look to local agents for help sorting through the information.

This is the third year for WVU's programs.
