Camden Clark Medical Center spokesman Tim Brunicardi says the hospital has delivered 74 babies over the last two weeks.
During the same period in 2012, there were 61 deliveries. In 2011, the hospital delivered 52 babies.
Brunicard tells The Parkersburg News and Sentinel that there's no way to determine whether the increase in births is related to the storm. But he says births typically increase following storms and power outages.
Linda Moncrief's granddaughter gave birth to a baby boy last week. She says nurses at the hospital were calling newborns "derecho babies.''
