Coin club

St. Albans Coin Club will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the basement of the St. Albans Municipal Building, 1499 MacCorkle Ave. For information, call 304-727-4062.

Library Board

The South Charleston Public Library Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston. The agenda is available at the library.

Small business

The Charleston Area Alliance and Frontier Communications will present the Small Business Showcase from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Charleston Marriott Town Center. The showcase is held in conjunction with Business After Hours and will feature Secretary of Commerce Keith Burdette, who will kick off the event. Business After Hours offers opportunities to meet the region's leaders in a relaxed setting, all while enjoying food, drinks and entertainment. The cost is $15 for Alliance members and $25 for future members who register early online. Prices increase to $25 for Alliance members and $35 for future members after 5 p.m. March 27. Al-Anon/Alateen

Al-Anon offers meetings for friends and family of alcoholics. Alateen meetings are for teens who are dealing with the alcoholism and/or drug addiction of a family member or friend. Al-Anon meetings will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesdays, St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St.; noon Wednesdays at the Kanawha County Day Report Center, 900 Christopher St.; and 7 p.m. Thursdays, Edgewood area, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Drive. Alateen meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays in the Edgewood area at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Drive; and at 7 p.m. Sundays, the Legacy Study Group meets at First Presbyterian Church, 508 Second Ave., South Charleston.

King luncheon

The Fayette County Black Caucus is sponsoring its 36th annual Martin Luther King Memorial Luncheon at 2 p.m. April 27 at the Fayette Institute of Technology in Oak Hill. A check will be presented to an outstanding black high school senior. An annual $750 scholarship also will be presented to a black high school senior who is planning to further his/her education in teaching. Reservations are $25 and the deadline is April 19.
